Steps for use:
1 Measure the inside diameter of the reel seat by adjusting the slide with the ergonomic thumb pad.
2 Lock the slide in place with the stainless-steel thumb screw. The slide incorporates a brass pressure plate to minimize wear on the caliper arm from the screw. These were designed to last.
3 Transfer the caliper to your rod blank to determine how much tape to add. By placing the caliper onto the tape bushing periodically during the layer buildup the builder can determine when to stop adding tape. No longer spend valuable time sliding the reel seat on and off the blank only to add or subtract small pieces of tape!
