Don't risk your build by not securing your rod. Easily upgrade your rod dryer to accommodate larger diameter butt caps / rear grips up to 1-3/4" diameter, protect threadwork or when you have a limited area to secure your rod. Simply remove the fastener on your existing dryer and exchange the new cup. Three (3) sizes provided (1/2", 1", and 1 1/2" depth) to allow the builder to select the appropriate cup size and secure their rod with the two (2) supplied rubber bands. The 1/2" depth is a great option for when you are doing that special epoxy ramp or detailed thread work close to the butt end of your rod.
Updated design now accommodates the following:
1) clearance hole when securing the cup using a through fastener
2) installed brass insert with 3mm screw when securing the cup via the flat spot on the motor shaft
Note that typical dryer motor shafts with through fasteners are 7mm (~9/32") diameter and those with flats are typically 1/4" diameter. However, variations do exist, be sure to measure and select the correct model to fit your specific dryer motor shaft. Cup motor shaft diameters can be enlarged up to 9/32" at customer's risk.
