Thread Tensioner Magnet Upgrade Kit with Captive Nut

Eliminate inconsistent thread tension commonly associated with the use of springs. Get rid of wing nuts that are either 1) difficult to turn making thread changes a pain; or 2) turn too easily causing thread tension to increase/decrease without warning. The installation of opposing magnets provides the consistent force needed against the spool and eliminates the direct link between the rotating thread spool and the wingnut causing changes in tension.

Replacing your standard springs tension setup could not be easier. Simply remove and replace the washers, spring and wingnut with the magnets from the kit having the common color orientated towards each other. The nut is now included in the outer magnet eliminating loose pieces making thread color changes a breeze.  The case colors easily identify the poles of the magnets making setup a breeze.

The Thread Tension Upgrade Kit includes qty 2 powerful neodymium magnets incased in a protective layer to prevent damage to magnets from dropping or when snapped together.  The outer magnet has the nut molded in.  Also included is an instruction / setup sheet.
